# Tender sources

> Manage the preloaded Oman-focused source catalog, public scans, restricted portals, and verification

Tender adds **20 Oman-focused public, supplier, media, and aggregator sources** to each organization. You can enable or disable each source, add a custom source, and choose which channels matter to your company.

## Access types

| Type                  | Meaning                                            | Required action                                         |
| --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Public                | The public page can be scanned without an account  | Enable it and select **Scan now**                       |
| Supplier registration | Your company must first qualify with the authority | Complete registration externally, then configure access |
| Login                 | Opportunity content is behind a supplier account   | Store authorized credentials in the encrypted vault     |
| Media                 | Useful for discovery but not authoritative         | Return to the issuing authority's original notice       |
| Aggregator            | Combines opportunities from multiple publishers    | Use for discovery only and verify the primary source    |

## Structured public-source discovery

Tender currently performs structured scans for:

* **Oman Tender Board / Esnad** for government opportunities.
* **Nama Water Services**.
* **Asyad Group**.
* **Omran Supplier Gateway**.

The system extracts available titles, issuer names, references, publication dates, and submission deadlines where the source publishes them in a readable form. A discovered record still enters the workflow as **verification required**.

Other public catalog entries can remain useful as reference or research links. Restricted portals are not treated as public pages.

## Enabled sources requiring access setup

* **JSRS** for energy-sector supplier qualification and opportunities.
* **OQ Tawreed** for OQ procurement and tender workflows.
* **Nama Power and Water Procurement** for supplier and project opportunities.

These sources show **Waiting for access setup** until your company registration is complete and authorized credentials are stored. Tender does not bypass supplier registration, CAPTCHA, OTP, or portal terms.

## Other catalog entries

The catalog also includes OIA, Oman Airports, Transom, OPAZ, Oman Oil Marketing, Oman Broadband, Vodafone Oman, Tabseet, the Environment Authority, Oman Observer, Oman Tenders & Business Gate, OmanTenders, and GlobalTenders.

  Optional sources are disabled by default to reduce noise. Enable only sources that match your sectors, locations, and supplier registrations.

## Source statuses

| Status                   | Meaning                                           | What to do                                             |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| Active                   | Available to the configured scan method           | Review the latest scan time and scan when needed       |
| Paused                   | Excluded from automated scans                     | Enable it when it becomes relevant                     |
| Needs attention          | The last scan failed or the external page changed | Review the error, validate the URL, and retry once     |
| Waiting for access setup | Requires supplier registration or an account      | Complete registration and store authorized credentials |

## Run a scan

    Review the source summary and the status of each portal.

    Use the switch on each source. Disabling a source does not delete opportunities already discovered from it.

    The action is available for active public sources. Check the completion message, latest scan time, and any error details.

    Each result requires human verification before document analysis or proposal work.

## Web search and custom sources

* Use **Web search** for broad discovery, then confirm the result on the authority's official site.
* Add a custom official URL and configure its type, frequency, and sectors.
* Prefer a stable tender page over a temporary search-results URL.
* Never store credentials in the custom-source form.

## Credential vault

For a source that requires access, select **Credentials** and store either a username and password or an API token. Values are encrypted before storage and are not shown after saving. Delete or replace credentials when access changes or expires.

  Use only accounts your organization is authorized to use. Do not attempt to bypass CAPTCHA, OTP, registration, or portal rules. Human intervention must be performed by the authorized person when requested.
